Remember the days when a family would wake early and hit the fields and barns to care for the animals and crops?
Scurrying around and busily dealing with the day’s chores, they took problems or concerns head-on without help from anyone but each other.
Or was it a city slicker who would wake at 5am and hit the bricks, darting in and out of the throngs of fellow worker bees as he or she headed to work, where they would tap away at a manual typewriter, or use paper and a pen, or even a primitive pencil to record important data?
Unless you’re 150 years old you probably don’t remember that, and in that time since the above was the typical American life for most folks, so many things have become so fake and lame.
Natural ways that lasted millennia are now gone, replaced by shadow versions of their former selves.
Artificial Everything is now the state of the world.
AI, ushering in the death of human ingenuity and creativity, is going to be the final nail in the coffin.
Virtual this and that means your data and records are one crashed server, flawed software or a couple of errant keystrokes away from being gone forever.
Memories replaced by AI, are memories eventually lost.
We search for everything on the internet today, as libraries gather dust.
Books are a distant memory for the vast majority, and those responsible for the u-turn away from tangible physical pages, have replaced our history with wires, chips and buffers full of ones and zeroes.
They can change our history easily this way, each generation pushed farther from the reality of it’s past.
This is intentional.
Socially, modern humanity is crippled and has lost all semblance of physical interaction skills, reduced to filter faced fakebooks.
Also intentional.
A disconnected public makes for more malleable masses.
Our personal profiles are now just fake images for others to visualize who or what we really are based on how we perceive, model and present ourselves.
I am a Purple Moon, what are you?
Over the last century we have invented countless ways to occupy ourselves without actual human interaction, through the advent of radio, television, internet and video games.
It’s even devolved so far into men buying rubber sex robots who mimic the horny sluts that are now the basic template of the perfect woman, instead of actual personal involvement.
C’mon fellas.
So what is a person to do?
Social Media?
That’s anything but social.
Facebook is where brainless zombies go to circle around in a soup of the same regurgitated shit that repeats in 6 month cycles
Instagram is a virtual brothel, and Onlyfans is a wankfest for anyone who would rather stay in than awkwardly interact with the lifeless denizens they will find outside of their boxes.
All of them replace reality for the narcissist’s urges, a panacea for personalityless pretenders.
Every woman can be a model or an influencer, or a spokesperson for something menial, and find pseudo-relevance in the vacuous void of vapidity.
Every man can impress the others with a false persona bolstered by bullshit, quotes about Rome, images of them playing dressup in clothes, cars, and styles they identify with.
These fake and lame manly elements fill their social media pages so the women will swoon and save their swiping for a drunken late night hookup that assures neither will have to truly be themselves.
Dating now is basically just a longer version of Halloween or Cosplay.
Relationships?
One picks another who checks all the boxes online, yet when they meet, they are just two drooling idiots, pretending to be someone they aren’t, merely seeking a direct line to each other’s crotch.
Romance is a distant planet in a solar system full of forgotten features of a healthy society.
All this talk of the death of love and togetherness has made me hungry, what’s for dinner?
All of our food, which was previously just fine, is now a figment of its lost self.
Sugar, cholesterol, fat, my old friends, where have you gone?
All of it has been bad for us at one point or another, yet then we discover it is a necessity never to return without great expense.
All too late.
Along the way the food industry decided to replace as many natural ingredients as possible with chemicals and poisons for muh “diet”.
Artificiality in food is a major threat to our health, it’s a prime creator of diseases due to ignoring the real and beneficial aspects of foods we survived on for tens of thousands of years.
But that’s okay, the tiktok nurses and obese cigarette smoking doctors will save us, right?
Our medicines and vaccines are full of things that send us down the last path we should be navigating, directly off the cliff of illness and disease.
Aluminum, Graphene, Mercury.
SSRIs, Opium derivatives, Statins.
Maybe we should try drinking bleach?
The real cures are outlawed or mocked, while pharmaceuticals and insane medical methodologies have replaced the obvious paths to health and wellness.
Any product we use is filled or made with a whole host of chemicals and dangerous materials.
Sunscreen, botox, hair dyes, all packed with carcinogenic compounds.
Ladies with tiny tatas can even get big ole fake boobs that can burst and leak industrial grade silicone, WTF?
Is everything artificial or against nature these days?
Whew, thank goodness we can escape for a few hours and take a drive still.
Our cars, once rock solid simplistic chunks of metal, glass and rubber, are now fragile and flimsy cookie cutter shells of themselves.
Filled with Artificial Intelligence in the form of modules and mini computers, all frail and prone to failure, they often bankrupt owners who keep them a few years past the warranty.
Whatever happened to a damn switch, pushbutton, or lever?
It is often said the cars of an era define the mindset of that era.
Today’s cars?
They all look the same.
They compete for the most pissed off front end, and the most boring ass end.
Huge scowling grilles that are plasticky pieces of some engineer geek’s worst nightmare flashback of when he had his lunch money stolen by bullies with gold teeth.
They emulate a vision of an angry chrome plated mouth of a monster in our mirrors who is coming for us, so we panic and move aside out of fear for our lives.
The ominous beast passes, its driver always seconds from road rage.
Moments of tension…
Then a sigh of relief, as its milquetoast rear end styled like a bland featureless cube with two little red dots disappears into the night.
Fake and lame.
But hey, it’s got bluetooth.
Its all fake and lame, and yes, you and I know it.
I could go on here about all the artificiality in our world today, but let’s get to the meat of the matter.
Artificial Intelligence is the cumulative effort of all of the above.
It will replace the one last thing we have to set ourselves apart.
AI will assure these three things are rendered useless and irrelevant to help us secure a future or make new memories.
Personality.
Intellect.
Identity.
And those are the things we are giving up on our own.
Meanwhile, Artificial Intelligence has but one target.
Our minds.
To be replaced by fields of servers, and put into a virtual urn.
Placed on the mantle, casually observed by everyone who comes to visit as a relic of the past.
Just like Grandma’s ashes.
Good Luck.
BA
I'd say that was one of Your best! I did something along those veins...
